This is the second automatic feeder I have purchased. And let me tell you, this one is WONDERFUL!! My house goblin (Sasha the cat) figured out with our old feeder that she could stick her paw up the dispensing opening and shake more food out. With this one, she can’t do that! The fins are solid plastic (small blocks) not soft plastic! Also the lid on this one is SO much better than our old one! It’s easier to close and locks in place so even if she knocked it over, no food would spill out. I also love that the cord clips inside the battery compartment. So again if she could move it, she wouldn’t unplug the feeder! Hands down the best feeder I’ve used!! There is a blue light in the front that is a bit bright (this the tape). Only negative.
